SmartSource Computer & Audio Visual Rentals reports a Record October

SmartSource Computer & Audio Visual Rentals (“SmartSource Rentals,” Hauppauge, NY, www.smartsourcerentals.com), one of the nation’s leading providers of computer, audio visual (AV), and trade show technology rentals and services, reported a 17% increase in sales in the month of October 2014 over last October’s revenues. Based on October’s record sales and its steady performance throughout 2014, the company is projecting record revenue for 2014.

According to SmartSource Rentals’ Chief Financial Officer Stephen Rupolo, the company’s strong performance in October can be directly attributed to several areas of significant growth. Specifically, SmartSource Rentals saw a marked spike in its technology rental sales for user conferences across the country. These conferences, along with the meetings, trade shows and conventions which SmartSource Rentals regularly supplies, utilized much more interactive technologies such as large video displays, digital signs, charging stations, registration kiosks and iPads, as well as laptops.

SmartSource Rentals Vice President of Sales Jeff Byrne added, “The continued loyalty of our customers, as well as the strong performance of our team have certainly contributed to our success. Additionally, we’ve seen a major shift in the way meetings and events are now being conducted. They are more interactive than ever before. We see meeting planners, as well as exhibitors, recognizing the marketing and sales value of enhanced audience engagement. Interactive technologies bring to a meeting a pronounced opportunity to capture more leads, convert them, and generate sales. This is in addition to demonstrating a high ROI in terms of branding, customer messaging and education.”

Along with the increased user conference sales, SmartSource Rentals also generated steady income derived from providing its total technology solution to major sporting events this fall, from large city marathons to the Major League Baseball playoffs including the World Series, National Basketball Association Finals and ESPN X Games. The company is also the official technology provider for more than 300 leading trade shows including over 40 in October, further contributing to the month’s breakout performance.
